Elon Musk has apparently suspended his plans to form a new political party, according to a news report. The billionaire wants to focus on his companies, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday (local time), citing people familiar with the plans.
Musk had announced the creation of the “America Party” in July after a public dispute with U.S. President Donald Trump over a tax and spending bill. In the meantime, however, Musk has admitted to his confidants that founding a party would damage his relationship with Vice President JD Vance. Tesla and the White House did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
