U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson has dismissed as “lies” the claims that Russia intends to attack NATO member states, calling the notion “ridiculous” and mocking the trust that many Europeans place in such warnings. His remarks were made during an interview with Bild deputy editor-in-chief Paul Ronzheimer, according to TASS. “It’s so ridiculous that you believe this lie — the lie that Russia has plans for Germany or the United Kingdom. There is no evidence of this,”
Carlson said. Carlson, known for his controversial and anti-establishment views, expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, warning that the current trajectory could lead to nuclear war. “I could be completely wrong — I’ve often been wrong — but what I’m not wrong about is that the result of further escalation will be nuclear war. And there’s nothing worse than that,” he stated. He also criticized European leaders, calling them “absurd” for continuing to stoke the flames of the conflict.
Carlson claimed that Russia has “already won this war,” and urged Western leaders to shift their focus toward diplomacy instead of confrontation. “Let’s work on a deal now,” he said. “That’s called negotiation. What we should not do is keep fueling rhetoric and fear.” His remarks come at a time when tensions remain high between NATO and Moscow, and debates continue over military aid, territorial lines, and the risks of global escalation.
Tucker Carlson concluded by labeling the belief in a potential Russian attack on NATO as nothing more than fear-based propaganda, warning that such narratives serve only to deepen division and move the world closer to catastrophe.
