Kia has unveiled an ambitious concept car to mark its 80th anniversary, a vehicle designed to rethink the classic Gran Turismo philosophy through a modern lens focused on technology, efficiency, and driving emotion. Known as the Vision Meta Turismo, the concept blends retro inspiration with a forward-looking vision and strongly hints at the possible return of the Stinger as a next-generation performance model.

The exterior design is rooted in Kia’s current design language, Opposites United, which emphasizes the contrast between smooth, flowing surfaces and sharply defined geometric elements. The Vision Meta Turismo echoes the spirit of 1960s Gran Turismo cars while incorporating futuristic details and modern proportions. The result is a vehicle that prioritizes aerodynamic efficiency, refined performance, and quiet operation, aligning with the traditional idea of long-distance, high-speed touring comfort. Inside, the cabin is conceived as a digital sanctuary.

Extensive glass surfaces across the roof flood the interior with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness and calm. Kia describes the interior as a space where mobility and quality of living merge, with carefully selected materials, ambient lighting, and digital display surfaces working together to create an environment that supports both relaxation and focus. The car is presented not merely as transportation, but as a refined living space in motion. Despite its emphasis on comfort, the four-door Vision Meta Turismo promises an intense and adaptable driving experience.

At the core of the human–machine interaction is a new steering-wheel architecture, which visually contrasts with the rest of the cabin and pairs with an ochre-colored driver’s seat to highlight the driving position. The cockpit can be transformed at the press of a button through three digital operating modes: Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer, each tailored to a different driving mood and use scenario. These modes are integrated with an augmented reality head-up display system that projects three-dimensional virtual content directly into the driver’s field of vision.

Depending on the selected mode, the system can present functional driving information, immersive digital elements, or emotionally engaging visual effects, enhancing both usability and connection with the vehicle. Kia has not yet disclosed technical specifications or confirmed production plans, stating that further details will be announced at a later date. However, the Vision Meta Turismo clearly serves as a statement of intent and a conceptual preview of what could become the successor to the GT Stinger, offering a glimpse into Kia’s future direction in the high-performance Gran Turismo segment.
